"For disabled children and their families, access to leading-edge medical equipment can mean everything."
In 2007, Dr. Kimberly BeDell asked a simple but life-changing question: “What more can I do?” At the time, she was in the midst of a highly successful career as a physical medicine and pediatric physician. But Kimberly knew there was so much more she could do with her gifts.
The answer to her question came when she founded California Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation (CCRF). Throughout its 11 years in operation, the Long Beach-based nonprofit has made a life-changing impact on children with special needs and their families. Through a combination of vision, compassion and hard work, Kimberly and CCRF have purchased and donated equipment for children with cerebral palsy, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophy, autism and cancer.
This has, in turn, provided much-needed access to pool therapy, sensory integration, augmentative communication, spinal cord medicine, adaptive bicycles and various other therapies that have improved the lives of children and teens all over Southern California.
For disabled children and their families, access to leading-edge medical equipment can mean everything. Thanks to Kimberly, these life-changing technologies will be in reach.
Farmers & Merchants Bank has been proudly doing business with Dr. Kimberly BeDell for 15 years.
