Gary Remland Mary’s Kitchen
"Gary also saw it fit to give of his time and efforts to help protect those in need; those for whom food is a scarce resource."
Since 1978, Gary Remland has been in the insurance business, working daily to deliver products and services that protect his clients, their businesses, and their assets. However, as a dedicated member of the local community, Gary also saw it fit to give of his time and efforts to help protect those in need; those for whom food is a scarce resource. So Gary started a program with the Rotary Club of Orange called Mary’s Kitchen, which provides meals for the homeless. Not only does Gary purchase the food, but he also works in planning and preparation with volunteers from the Rotary Club. Every eight weeks, upwards of 150 people receive a brown bag lunch and a hot meal from the Rotarians.
In addition to his work with the homeless, Gary is also a dedicated supporter of local veterans, spearheading the Field of Valor program through his involvement with the Community Foundation of Orange. This patriotic tribute honors and celebrates veterans and active duty military personnel and raises funds for a wide range of local veteran organizations. A business owner, community activist, and patriot, Gary Remland is instrumental in building a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community in Orange.
Farmers & Merchants Bank has been proudly doing business with Gary Remland for 5 years.
