Vera Jimenez Redondo Beach Rotarian

"Vera is a dedicated Redondo Beach Rotarian whose compassion and generosity has taken her all over the world. She has traveled to Mexico and Columbia for hands-on service projects and supports a transformative literacy program in Guatemala."

You may have caught Vera Jimenez delivering the weather forecast on the KTLA 5 News. But the inspiring story behind this award-winning meteorologist goes much deeper than her three Emmys and four Golden Mics.

Vera is a dedicated Redondo Beach Rotarian whose compassion and generosity has taken her all over the world. She has traveled to Mexico and Columbia for hands-on service projects and supports a transformative literacy program in Guatemala. She is also making a huge impact in her own backyard via local, grassroots organizations like Mama Hill in Compton, Richstone Family Center in Hawthorne, The Woman’s Club of Hermosa Beach, Cancer Support Community in Redondo Beach, and Girls Today Women Tomorrow in Boyle Heights. Additionally, she supports the YMCA, where she helps with their annual capital campaign.

The last of six children, Vera was born in Mexico, raised in Garden Grove, and introduced to service with her local Elks club as a child. This early experience shaped the work she does today, lighting a fire of service that continues to burn bright to this day.

Farmers & Merchants Bank has been proudly doing business with Vera Jimenez for 1 year.
